Natioanl Arbor Day Foundation in co-operation with National Association of State Foresters - Tree Line USA Utility *****1st time Naperville has received this designation***** - honors those utilities that meet the requirements of a program of quality tree care, annual worker training in quality tree care practices and a tree planting and public education program. U.S. Department of Energy – Renewable Energy Program – Naperville’s customer participation rate has the 6th highest percent enrollment of residents & businesses in the country.

“GREEN” honor – National Illinois and Chicago Environment Halls of Fame – The city was recognized for its renewable energy program.  Almost 8.5% of the city’s residential utility customers participate. (October 2008)
